A rising name in NC: 2023 Dallas Gardner

One player that continues to have impressive performance after impressive performance is 2023 6’2 Dallas Gardner. Gardner was a key piece at Myers Park this past season as a sophomore, averaging 12.4 points, 3.4 rebounds, 2.0 assists, and 2.6 steals per game and he has only continued to progress with his game this summer playing with Team HOPE.

Unsigned Senior: 2021 6’1 AJ Pruitt (Bearden HS, TN)

Senior AJ Pruitt is an intriguing prospect to watch for, as he is a key part of the winning program this year and a stat-stuffer. Pruitt is averaging 14 points, five rebounds, 4.1 assists, and 2.5 steals per game, showing how much of an impact he can have on the court. He is also a leader on and off the court, as he is a team captain for a second year.

Phenom Player Spotlight: 2021 Troy Fulton (Lincoln Charter)

Fulton was off the charts last season for Lincoln Charter. He doesn't always get the praise but should be capturing eyes with his play. Last season, he averaged 14.9 points, 2.9 rebounds, and 1.1 steals per game to help Lincoln Charter to a 27-3 overall record. But what should have the attention of many is his ability to make shots from the perimeter. Fulton knocked down an astonishing 129 3-pointers last season on 58 percent shooting. That includes 13 games in which he hit 5 or more 3-pointers.

Phenom Player Spotlight: 2021 Omarion Blount

Blount had a tremendous junior campaign, one that certainly deserves more attention. Playing in 26 games and helping his team to an 18-9 overall record, Blount averaged 17.8 points, 4.9 rebounds, 1.7 assists, and 1.0 steals per game at Washington High School. That includes nine games in which he finished with 20+ points. He also knocked down 45 3-pointers on 38 percent shooting from behind the arc and 52 percent shooting overall.
