The Hoop State Fall League gives us a great chance at Phenom Hoops to get an early look at several teams early on, and we are looking to dive into a bit of what we have seen on the court.
One team that I was interested in checking out again was Carson, as this is a program that has some good young prospects who will be stepping up early to help lead the charge. We actually wrote about this top months ago, which you can read here: https://phenomhoopreport.com/carson-opens-eyes-at-phenom-team-camp/
We had a great opportunity to watch a trio of freshmen who will be strong building blocks for this program in the coming years, as 2027 CP Perry, 2027 Jacob Mills, and 2027 Drew Neve should all see early action with this team. Perry is a high-IQ guard that really impressed with his feel, his ability to create his own shot, and showing some craftiness with his game. Mills is one that can hurt you big time with his outside shooting, especially from behind the arc; it was something he showed at the Fall League. And then you have Neve who is a young forward that shows promise in his game, good size at 6’4, and one that can make plays in a variety of ways. All three showed early flashes and should get early playing time with this program, as they hope to build something along with the roster that also includes several other players to watch out for.
