This past weekend, Hamilton Heights made the journey from Tennessee to Forsyth Country Day for the Tyler Lewis Hoopfest. Known for their consistently high level of talent, we expected the Hawks to come in as one of the better teams, take care of business, and collect offers along the way. However, for whatever reason, this group has not received the appropriate amount of attention within their respective recruitments. Between the coaching, personnel, and long-term foundation, one would think that college programs would feel extremely safe by pursuing these proven commodities. Sure, their sophomore big man is shaping up to collect any offer he wants. But what about the Andrews brothers' What about the guy who seems to be the nightly leader of this group, Jordann Dumont' If anyone in the country should be due for a major recruiting blow-up over the next twelve months, it's Dumont.

The whole situation feels extremely similar to when Markus Ilver and Massanutten Academy came to our Hargrave Hoops Challenge in February of 2020. He walked in as a relative unknown with an intriguing array of tools and zero scholarship offers. Despite the slew of Division I coaches in the gym, no one seemed interested. Ilver went on to collect 17 offers over the next five months, eventually committing to Wisconsin.

All signs legitimately point to Dumont getting ready to undergo the same process. There is absolutely no reason that his offer sheet is blank. Various types and levels of Division I schools have reached out, but tread water thereafter. At the end of the day, Dumont is a long, athletic, 6-foot-8 forward with the necessary skill and fluidity to cause a ton of matchup problems. He's a phenomenal shooter and overall floor-spacer with the ability to score in a wide variety of different ways. Dumont handles and passes the ball well for his size/position and finishes consistently around the basket. He displays great feel and a strong nose for the ball, specifically as a rebounder, and can actively toggle between the paint and perimeter on both ends of the floor. Dumont has the combination of IQ, size, skill, athleticism, and continued upside to become a true priority going forward. Expect his recruitment to skyrocket over the coming months.
