It’s not often a player gets a “double double,” but for Word of God, they are blessed to have two players averaging in just that! 6’10 UNC signee Brandon Huffman is averaging 15.6 PPG and 13 RPG, while 6’3 Washington signee Blake Harris is averaging 27.7 PPG and 10.3 APG. Now, lets take a closer look at these two players.

6’3 Sr. Blake Harris

First of all, Blake Harris is one of the most undervalued and under ranked players in the 2017 class. In our opinion, he is a gifted passer with unbelievable court vision and without question is the nation’s best passing point guard in his class. In the two games at the Phenom Joe Miller Invitation, Blake Harris has been sensational.

Blake is always looking to make his next assist. He simply sees plays one to two plays in advance and he gets as excited in making the assist as he does scoring. These are all quality traits you look for in your point guard position. Since Harris has been playing for Word of God, his overall game has matured immensely and his improvement on the court has grown tremendously.

6’10 Brandon Huffman

For Brandon Huffman, he is completely comfortable being a 6’10 post player. He doesn’t have aspirations of being a face up four or a big wanting to be a pseudo wing. Rarely, will you find Huffman venturing out of the post area. Every offensive trip down the floor, he is posting up hard and establishing good low post position. He has passer friendly hands and enjoys punishing the rims at every opportunity. Unlike many post players, he is willing to pass out of the post and re-establish low post position; constantly working to get the best offensive advantage to score.

In addition, he is an excellent rim protector and averaging 2.4 blocks per game. Huffman has impeccable timing for both offensive and defensive rebounds. He is a two handed rebounded that makes quick outlet passes on the defensive end of the court.
