Here we go… it is officially transfer-portal season and the list will only continue to grow once again as players enter their names. One player though that will have plenty of suitors will be Wofford’s BJ Mack, who will have one year of eligibility left.

Mack is a North Carolina native, and we certainly remember watching him dominant in high school here.  He then went off to USF, playing in 19 games as a freshman.  He then transferred to Wofford for the next three years where he flourished. From averaging 6.8ppg as a sophomore, to averaging 16.6ppg and starting 32 games last year, Mack has been a hot topic early on.

The 6’8 forward has 69 career starts and has recorded over 1,200 career points so far. Mack brings such intrigue with his size, coming off a season in which he shot nearly 50 percent from the floor, can stretch the court with his outside shot (52 made three-pointers on 33.5 percent shooting), and has the ability to make an impact on the boards.

It is early, but the list is quite extensive so far coming out from national outlets. Schools like LSU, Arkansas, Vanderbilt, Georgia Tech, Mississippi State, Georgia State, Richmond, Tennessee, UCLA, San Diego, Rhode Island, Seton Hall, Butler, Florida, Missouri, Auburn, Arizona State, Tulsa, East Carolina, DePaul, SMY, Coastal Carolina, NC State, Mercer, and others have all reached out.

And that list could continue to increase.

Mack played his high school ball at Charlotte Catholic.
