The'David'Rose'Memorial Day Classic benefitting the Wounded Warrior Project has quickly become one of the most sought after events in the area, during Memorial Day. However, despite all the great players and teams who will be getting elite level exposure, we want to make sure you understand what the'David'Rose'Memorial Day Classic is all about. One man, representing many!

 

David'Rose'was not only a hero for his service in the Marines, but he was also a great friend and loving person.

Staff Sergeant'David'C.Rose'served in the United States Marine Corps 10th Marine Regiment 2nd Marine Division from March 2000- Sept 2011. Enlisted as field artillery and held duty stations in Mt. Fuji Okinawa, Fallujah Iraq, Quantico Va, and Camp Lejeune NC.'David'served as an artillery instructor while at Quantico and completed 2 tours in Iraq and Afghanistan immediately following 9/11.

After 10 years he left with an honorable discharge and numerous health issues caused by injuries received during duty.'David'fought a battle with depression and PTSD which he lost May 16th 2013.'David'was laid to rest Memorial Day 2013 in Quantico National Cemetery.

PTSD and dealing with service injuries'is a real issue which affects many. There will be information on the Wounded Warrior Foundation all around the event, please take what you need.
