The Central Cabarrus crowd showing up and out vs. TBS

We have had some tremendous crowds and atmospheres this year, but we know how Central Cabarrus fans are and we are expecting this to quite possibly be the loudest and hostile crowd to date this season. And their team will need it, as they are going up against one of the best teams in the state in The Burlington School. The matchup to watch here is the guard play for both teams; both are strong and stingy defensively, so it will be interesting to see who can gain the advantage in those areas.  But we want to see what these fans got!

2025 Icare Bakadisula vs. 2024 Bobby Cannon showdown in Game 2

Bobby Cannon has been on a tear this year, leading the way for Forsyth Country Day and doing so in style and in a variety of ways as a long athletic forward. But he will be going up against a tough, physical forward on the other end in 2025 Icare Bakadisula, who brings tremendous athleticism and a developing skill set that is catching the eyes of many here in North Carolina. A very intriguing matchup between these two players in Game 2.

Dynamic inside-out duo for Gaston Christian

Gaston Christian has certainly tested themselves early on and seem to be getting their feet under them this season. And if you are a basketball fan, you get a chance to watch a dynamic inside-out duo in 2024 Gabriel Mabor and 2026 Cameron Newman.  Newman is a high IQ guard that simply can be a playmaker, while Mabor is one of the best bigs left in the Class of 2024 and has multiple D1 offers on hand.  They certainly are a 1-2 punch for this team.

Learning a few new names for Rabun Gap

We don’t always get a chance to see Rabun Gap in action, with the last time being at our Phenom Jamboree.  At the event, there were a few players that really stood out, including 2025 6’6 RJ Lacossade who can score and use his size well, while 2026 Rares Trandafir is a new, young big that showed flashes of his potential.  But overall, it gives a chance to find some new talent out on the court.
