Over the weekend, the Wolfpack of NC State landed their third commitment for the 2021 class, securing another in-state talent that they hope can help lead the charge.

2021 Breon Pass from Reidsville high school announced that he would be staying in NC and wearing the red and white.  Another great get for Coach Keatts, as Pass gives them another play-making guard for the future.

At Reidsville, Pass has been outstanding, both on the court and on the football field. Now, fully focused on basketball, NC State landed one of the hardest working and determined guards in the class and another in-state recruiting talent.  Pass is a 6’0 guard that has shown he can fill up the stat sheet, scoring the ball on multiple levels, run an offense, create for himself and for others, and also get on the boards.

But knowing Pass as a person as well, this is an exceptional young man off the court and one that is focused and determined.  He puts in the work to be the best he can be and he will bring that to Raleigh as well.

Phenom Hoops Breakdown (Colby Lewis):

Breon Pass was one of the most consistent and impressive point guards this summer. What he may lack in size, he makes up for with his quickness, explosiveness, and competitiveness. He has the ability to facilitate, run the offense, or create for himself. He shoots the ball at a high level with deep range off both the bounce and the catch. When attacking off the dribble, he has a nice change of pace. He attacks well off-ball screens and is able to make high-level pocket passes to rollers which will translate very nicely at the next level. His touch around the basket is something worth noting. Breon does a nice job of using his floaters to make shots over longer defenders. Defensively, he has the ability to really pressure ball handlers and rebounds well for his size and position.
