The second day of our third annual Tyler Lewis HoopFest kicked off at noon with a matchup between West Stokes and Chatham Charter. Both teams enter the season with new structure and expectations. The Wildcats appointed Carter Phillips as their head coach and have a lot of reasons to be optimistic about the future. On the other side, the Knights will be an intriguing team to follow given their recent roster turnover and history of success over the years. The action got underway with West Stokes absolutely dominating on both ends of the floor and establishing a 19-2 lead through eight minutes of play. In the second quarter, Chatham Charter began to find more offensive flow and gradually narrow the deficit—entering halftime trailing 28-13. Following the break, the Wildcats continued to dictate the pace. They maintained their distance and ultimately secured a 62-33 victory over Chatham Charter.
