What a busy day it has been and possibly the biggest news of the day may have been one of the top prospects in the country announcing that he would be headed to North Carolina.
2023 Mikey Williams, who is ranked No. 3 overall by ESPN, announced that he would be heading to the 704 and will be attending Lake Norman Christian under head coach Mason Padgett. Coach Padgett has done a TREMENDOUS job in such a short time, as several big-time names were added to his roster for this upcoming season.
But possibly his final piece of the puzzle is his biggest with the addition of Williams.
Now, nationally, many people will just recognize Mikey’s name but this is a program that has D1 talent all over the place. Players like 2022 JP Haggarty, 2021 Jonathan Kurtas, 2022 Shane Fernald, 2021 AJ Allenspach (committed to Army), and several others should have people’s attention as well.
This is a program that is now firmly in the national spotlight and Coach Padgett looks to be ready to roll.

That title is even bigger today and fans in North Carolina, as well as nationally, will quickly learn what these players and what this program can do.
