Nearly every year, we welcome new players to the state of North Carolina, as they look to make their mark in a talented area. We have a new name to start looking at, as 2025 6’2 point guard Jordan Lowery will be playing here in North Carolina at Winston-Salem Christian.
So we got in touch with Lowery to learn more about his game and his recruitment.
Phenom: What is your excitement about playing here in North Carolina'
Lowery: My excitement is playing a national schedule, and playing with other top players in the country, as well as developing like a pro.
Phenom: How would you best describe your game and how you operate'
Lowery: I would describe my game as a two-way playmaker. I defend at a high level and I’m a pass-first guard that can score any time I want and I’m very good at creating. I love operating in ball screens, and seeing what the defense gives me.
Phenom: Have you had a chance to play or anything with your teammates and all' What is your excitement about them'
Lowery: I haven’t had a chance to play with them yet. But I’m excited to play with them. I know they were a Top-25 ranked team last year. I believe we can be a Top-10 team with the addition of me.
Phenom: What is your recruitment like' Offers and interests
Lowery: The schools that have offered: SMU, Kansas State, Oklahoma State, St. Louis, and Wichita State. The schools that have shown interest: Gonzaga, Virginia Tech, Missouri, Wake Forest, LSU, Oklahoma, Arkansas, NC State, Texas A&M, Tennessee, North Texas, Boston College, UCLA, Memphis, Clemson, Pittsburgh, South Florida, George Mason, and Boise State.
Phenom: Saw you had some visits coming up'
Lowery: Arkansas on August 2nd and NC State in the middle of August, around the 20th.
Phenom: Out of the schools showing interest, which are the strongest in your eyes'
Lowery: Oklahoma, NC State, Arkansas, Gonzaga, and LSU.
