High school ball is approaching fast here in North Carolina, which only means that Phenom Hoops will be getting out, touring the region, and getting an early glimpse at the talent around the state.  But over the weekend at the Phenom Rise Showcase, we learned of a duo that could be one to watch at Southern Guilford. 2024 Jucqarie Love and 2024 Jamias Ferere, both standing at 6'4, made their presence known and may have just had their breakout event in North Carolina.

Both have played for Garner Road and were key parts of a successful summer for the program but playing with NLPB 336 over the weekend and being in the spotlight, these two absolutely shined on the floor together.

Love caught some early eyes on Day 1, showcasing his intriguing size, length, and athleticism on both ends of the floor.  Whether it was a few rim-rattling dunks, his ability to put it on the floor and finish over defenders or display his pull-up game, Love really showed off his versatility and ability to impact the floor in an array of ways.

Ferere, his teammate at Southern Guilford, is another 6'4 prospect that shined in the bright lights as well.  Ferere is another prospect that can initiate the break and offense, break down defenders and create for himself, and does an excellent job in attacking the paint and finishing strong.  What also excited us about his game is the impact he made on the defensive end, especially with blocking shots and timing.  Ferere showed this on multiple occasions throughout the weekend.

This is a duo that could be on the rise and should be a focal point at Southern Guilford this upcoming season.  So, make sure you put them on your watch list for 2024 and check them out more this high school season.
