It doesn't seem like'that'long ago when Phenom Hoops was hosting our annual CP3 Live/JMAC Showcase and the 15U Upward Stars group shined as one of the top teams. This group consisted of various noteworthy names like Joshua Beadle, Cesare Edwards, Bryce McGowens, and others. However, while so many of them remained in the spotlight and with the organization for the foreseeable future, the path was destined to be different for someone like Omazeon Tinsley. The smart, heady, lightning-quick point guard prospect has always been talented and capable of leading a team on both ends of the floor, but has arguably been underrated for the last few years.

For starters, Tinsley has been a phenomenal focal point for Lancaster High School since entering as a freshman. Though he was always capable of contributing, he's still steadily progressed and noticeably furthered his game. Tinsley and Janyle Pittman quietly form one of the best, most productive duos throughout South Carolina. He has the IQ, unselfishness, and understanding to truly thrive as the co-captain of this ship on a nightly basis. As far as his actual game goes, Tinsley offers a terrific balance between scoring and playmaking while consistently overwhelming his defensive assignment at the point of attack. He touches the paint whenever he desires, possesses a lethal midrange pull-up, and displays the instincts finish or to set up others with regularity. It's also worth noting that Tinsley has consistently improved as a three-point shooter and overall off-ball threat, which only expands his ceiling as a prospect.'

While his recruitment has picked up considerably over the last six months or so, scholarship-level programs should still be in full pursuit of the two-way floor general. Tinsley's entire game continued to trend upward with Carolina Pressure over the summer season. He's going to make a college program very happy with his all-around presence, both on and off the court, and will succeed wherever he should end up.
