At the beginning of each new year, Phenom Hoops works to assemble a series of articles centered around unsigned senior prospects. Last season, over one hundred players from North Carolina went on to play at the Division I, II, III or NAIA levels, and that number looks likely to continue increasing with the current senior class. Typically, we take a closer look at guys who are overlooked and underrated, but today's edition will highlight Jamahri Harvey of Moravian Prep and Team Loaded.

At this point, everyone knows about Moravian Prep and the star-power they supply with guys like Josh Hall and Shakeel Moore. However, Harvey has proven to be a major part of their success on a nightly basis. While he may not receive the appropriate amount of credit from the general public, it's easy to see that Harvey fits seamlessly as the third star of this group. He possesses a well-rounded skillset and approach with the ability to do basically anything on the floor. That being said, Harvey's shooting consistency has really skyrocketed over the last calendar year'making him even more dynamic. He can reliably operate from either guard position, score from all three levels, and overwhelm his assignment on both ends of the floor. His game might be relatively quiet, but Harvey's numbers speak volumes.

We've seen Harvey countless times throughout the last few years, including at our most recent Top 80, where we stated: 'Next, we look at a player that already possesses a pretty high-level skillset on both ends of the floor, Jamahri Harvey. He's a long, wiry wing prospect with athleticism and a quality all-around feel for the game. Harvey offers an excellent balance between smooth-shooting and rugged hard-nosed athleticism when attacking the basket. He's a very efficient three-level scorer that gets downhill and can rise up against any type of opponent. Harvey can create for himself and pull-up off the bounce or spot-up and knock down shots off the catch, both with relative ease. Next in his development process is continuing to add strength to his wiry frame, as it would allow him to be even more physical on both ends of the floor. Coach Roberson on Harvey: 'Jamahri is a smooth scoring guard that can get where he wants to go on the floor. He needs to play hard on every single possession on both ends of the floor. He has all the tools to be a successful Division I player.' Harvey is a proven entity that has seemingly found success against every type of competition, so it'll be interesting to see where he ultimately decides to further his playing career at the next level.'

Although we've seen and written about him various times since then, this excerpt really captured Harvey's ability prior to collecting majority of his offers. He held Hampton, South Carolina State, and Toledo offers going into last April, but added fifteen more over the ensuing eight months. At this point, there should be no real questions surrounding Harvey's game, as he's proven himself against all types of opponents on all types of stages. He might not receive the attention of some, but he's as important to Moravian Prep's success as anyone. Harvey still has to decide between the likes of NC A&T, UNCW, Hofstra, Quinnipiac, Robert Morris, Mount Saint Mary's, Elon, Rider, Nebraska, St. Bonaventure, Morehead State, UIC, UMBC, Eastern Kentucky, and Charleston Southern in addition to the three above. Wherever he ends up, Harvey will carve out a useful role and continue making a consistent impact with his smooth, steady two-way game.
