At the beginning of each new year, Phenom Hoops works to assemble a series of articles centered around unsigned senior prospects. Last season, hundreds of players from North Carolina went on to play at the Division I, II, III or NAIA levels, and that number looks likely to continue increasing with the current senior class. Typically, we take a closer look at guys who are overlooked and underrated, and today’s edition will highlight Patrick Bonna from Moravian Prep.

We have watched Bonna a few times in action, where this was said about his game: “Bonna is yet another guard that can use his speed very well on the court. He gets up and down faster than many, makes good decisions on the court on both ends, and gives this team another option as a scorer especially with a nice pull-up as well as another ball handler.” We also had this to say about his game when watching him with ACE Elite: “2022 Patrick Bonna is yet another guard that can use his speed very well on the court. He gets up and down faster than many, makes good decisions on the court on both ends, and gives this team another option as a scorer especially with a nice pull-up as well as another ball handler.”

When talking more about Bonna’s game, this is a 5’10 point guard that is fast and crafty on the court, really showing off his court vision and unselfishness in finding his teammates. But he can also be a very effective scorer on the floor, with his ability to get into the paint, get by defenders, and find ways to finish around the basket. Below are just a few highlights of his game at Phenom Hoops’ events.
