Player: Christopher Parker
School: AC Flora
Phenom Hoops continues to bring players that we believe can play at the next level, and there are still plenty of unsigned seniors to take a look at. One player that continues to pop into my head is 2023 6’5 Christopher Parker from AC Flora.
When you watch him on the court, he is certainly a player that you can’t miss… With his 6’5, 200-pound strong, physical frame, Parker can certainly be a difference-maker on the court. And he brings a ton of versatility. He has the ability to operate and be strong down in the paint, has good athleticism to make plays on the boards and finish big-time at the rim, he has the ability to handle and put it on the floor to make plays, and can score in a variety of ways as well. He is that strong, physical double-double type prospect that has produced extremely well this season, and he should be getting more looks.
What Has Been Said:
“He’s a big, strong-bodied forward/post prospect with the ability to play bigger than his size as a defender, rebounder, and interior scorer. Parker plays with a high motor, unselfish mentality, and quality feel for the game, which allows him to overwhelm opponents in a variety of different ways. He utilizes his strength very well around the basket to secure rebounds, alter shots, and then immediately run the floor hard in transition. Parker possesses great footwork and touch, but also looks to make unselfish passes whenever available.”
“Parker is a new name that really caught our eyes on the floor. He is a 6’6, strong-built prospect but what really intrigued us was his versatility on the floor. He has the body to battle down low and be active on the boards, but also has guard-like skills, can rebound and push in transition, gets downhill and scores the ball, and also knock down shots as well. Parker is one that is flying a little under the radar but really played well throughout the weekend.”
“Parker is a player that goes a bit under the radar here in South Carolina but think he could be a nice piece for a program. At 6’5 and with his physical stature, Parker really can make an impact in a variety of ways. With his ability to make and create with his handles, run the floor and be a strong presence in the paint, as well as battle on the boards, Parker is one that can fill it up.”
