6’2 shooting guard Zachary Boggs of Cape Fear Christian is an unsigned senior that many local schools should take a serious look at. First of all, Zachary is a quality student athlete who sports an impressive 4.0 GPA. He has encountered injuries within the past year that has kept the promising young shooting guard off the collegiate radar. During the spring of 2015, Zachary suffered an ACL tear and missed the entire spring/summer travel ball season. He didn’t return to the Cape Fear Christian lineup until December, but once he returned, Zachary put up outstanding numbers. He averaged 18 PPG, 6 RPG, and dished out 5 APG.

In speaking with head coach Dwight Miller, he stated, “Zachary Boggs is every coach’s dream. He will be your hardest worker each practice. Zachary is a lights out shooter and a solid defender. He is one of the greatest kids I’ve coached and will be an awesome asset to any program.”

College programs that are looking for a high quality young man that works equally hard in the classroom as well as the hardwood, should seriously contact Coach Dwight Miller for more information. Over the years, Zachary has been a consistent shooter and we all know shooters translate at every level. All Zachary needs is that one chance, that one opportunity to showcase he can become a valuable asset to the appropriate collegiate level. If given the chance, there is no question he will prove his worth.
