Player: AJ Pruitt
Class: 2021
Height: 6'1
School: Bearden HS

Out in Knoxville, Tennessee sits a program that has a winning pedigree and they are doing it once again this season.  Bearden high school has produced some intriguing talent that can be seen at the college level today and they are continuing to do so this season, as they are off to a 22-1 record and are one of the top programs in the state once again.  They also continue to produce talent that should be getting some looks.

Senior AJ Pruitt is an intriguing prospect to watch for, as he is a key part of the winning program this year and a stat-stuffer. Pruitt is averaging 14 points, five rebounds, 4.1 assists, and 2.5 steals per game, showing how much of an impact he can have on the court. He is also a leader on and off the court, as he is a team captain for a second year.

When speaking with Pruitt more about his game, this is what he had to say:

'I can do it all.  I can play any position that I'm needed.  I'm mainly a guy who gets to the rim and when I'm not finishing it, I'm drawing multiple defenders and creating for others but I have a good all-around game.  I love talking and a defensive challenge, guarding the other team's best player.'

Pruitt has proven to be a winner, being part of a state championship program and playing against some of the top programs around the state and region.  Unfortunately, he was hurt this summer and COVID-19 impacted his summer as well, so he fell through the cracks for some.
