2024 Tyler Whitehurst (Riverside-Martin): Whitehurst is a 6’0 guard that showed his ability to knock down shots with range, score and create well, and be a leader on the court. He has a quick first step and creates well with his handles, as he doesn’t lack any confidence with his shot, especially from three.
2023 Stylz Gardner (Peninsula Catholic): Gardner played really well throughout the event, leading his team with his ability to create and make plays off the dribble, knock down shots in catch-and-shoot situations, and also make plays for others. Gardner is one that understands how to fill it up and did so consistently.
2023 Jordan Marsh (Moravian Prep): Marsh is a name we continue to bring up and with his recruitment, he should be considered underrated. One of the quickest guards in the region, an elite first step to get by defenders, has terrific handles, and can surprise you with how athletic he is. Filled it up much like he has done so all season long.
2025 Chance Mallory (St. Anne’s Belfield): Mallory was a new name for us to learn and we liked what we saw from the point guard. Mallory was able to help handle the show for his team, but was also impressed with how confident he was from the perimeter. A smooth release that has deep range, Mallory did a great job in showing his feel, his IQ, his understanding, and ability to be a knockdown shooter. He already holds a few offers.
2023 Eli Hawk (First Flight): I was impressed with what I saw from Hawk in both games. Certainly a physical forward that battled in the paint, displayed good hands, finished through contact, and was a bully down in the paint and on the boards. Really played well throughout the event and played with great energy.
2025 Adrean Newton (Maury): Newton captured our eyes with his ability to make plays and be a flour general for his team. He did a great job in attacking and creating, finishing well when getting to the basket, showing nice touch around the basket, and also finding his teammates well. Newton is a young guard that should earn more eyes.
2024 Leslie Minter (Wilson Prep): Minter was one that captured our eyes last year and did the same this year at the event, as the 6’5 prospect showed more of his ability to stretch the floor and be an impact as a scorer. Minters showed more confidence in his game, and looked for his shot more. He showed that at 6’5, he can be a threat from outside with multiple threes while also finishing at the rim as well. Minter has taken steps in his game and should get more eyes his way.
2024 Shanon Simango (Blue Ridge): Simango may have not been the go-to player for his team but he did an excellent job in being productive. A strong, physical forward, Simango really displayed a tremendous motor in battling and finding ways to score, being assertive in finishing through and around defenders, and being aggressive on the boards.
2023 CJ McPherson (Catholic): McPherson is a new name for us but an unsigned senior that could help a program. He brings size and a college-level frame, as he was able to be a physical playmaker on the floor, score from multiple levels, get downhill and finish, and plays with a toughness on both ends of the court.
