Phenom Hoops once again delivered a platform for top talent to showcase their ability, and this past weekend’s Grassroots Tip-Off Classic featured several young prospects making early statements in the spring. From high-level wings to rising guards, here are a few players who stood out with their performance and potential:

Cole Cloer – 6’8 Wing | Class of 2026 – CP3
Cloer showed once again why he’s one of the most highly regarded prospects in North Carolina’s 2026 class and the nation. A smooth, skilled wing who can score in a variety of ways, he displayed a fluid jumper, advanced footwork, and great feel as a creator. His size and length allow him to impact the game defensively and on the glass. Cloer’s high ceiling continues to draw college interest, and his consistency makes him a standout at every stop.

Isaac Smith – 6’7 Wing | Class of 2028 – Team United
Isaac Smith emerged as one of the most intriguing prospects this weekend. At 6’7, he showed great versatility and long-term upside, playing with energy, athleticism, and an advanced basketball IQ. He was active defensively, rebounded well, and displayed flashes of skill that translate on both ends of the floor. A clear stock riser, Smith’s growth and two-way impact make him one to track closely moving forward.

Sanad Ghazal – 6’6 Wing | Class of 2026 – Combine Academy KB 17u
Ghazal continues to impress, at 6’6, his blend of length, feel, and shot-making ability allows him to impact the game on both ends. He plays with great pace, sees the floor well, and has shown the ability to score from all three levels. Defensively, his activity and instincts allow him to disrupt passing lanes and switch across multiple positions.

Blake Smith – 6’5 Wing | Class of 2027 – Carolina Riptide
Smith is a dynamic guard who plays well beyond his years. He’s shown the ability to break down defenders off the bounce, score in bunches, and make timely plays for his team. His confidence as a shot-creator stands out, especially in high-pressure moments. Smith plays with a high motor, defends well at the point of attack, and sets the tone with his toughness and energy.

Liam Drayton – 6’6 Forward | Class of 2027 – Future Prep NXTPRO
Drayton was a matchup problem throughout the event. With his size, strength, and inside-out scoring ability, he can bully smaller defenders on the block or stretch the floor with his shooting touch. He rebounds at a high level and brings a physical edge on both ends. Drayton’s upside is evident, and his growing polish makes him a name to know moving forward.

Aamori Patterson – Guard | Class of 2027 – Prevail Elite
Patterson brought a steady presence to the backcourt all weekend. She plays with poise and purpose, always looking to make the right play. Patterson can control the tempo, knock down shots from the perimeter, and is unafraid to defend on the ball. Her ability to run the offense and lead vocally as a young guard is impressive and shows his maturity. She was one of the best shooters in the gym not matter the competition, she continued to find ways to score and create for others.
