Day 1 of the Southern Jam LIVE has come and gone. However, having to restock after selling out on book, kids gave some great performances in front of many coaches. Day 2 is sure to be nothing less that great.

Here are those who stood out:

6’3” 2017 Ja Morant – SC Hornets
Morant has built a hot name for himself throughout the AAU season, and he carried that into today. With South Carolina Head Coach Frank Martin, and a host of others, watching Morant showed to be a highly effecting 3-level scorer. With length, handle, and bounce, it is easy to see how he went for 25 and 28 points today.

6’3” 2017 Jamal Bryant – Flight 22 Elite
Bryant plays with a non-stop motor. A motor that sees him produce on both ends of the floor, consistently. Today, as a 6’3” wing, Bryant finished with a 22 points/21 rebound performance. He is all heart, mixed in with a good bit of athleticism and skill.

6’3” 2017 Timmy Dalton – MATTS Mustangs
Dalton caught the eyes of coaches and media early, with his tough hard-nosed play and ability to get to the basket. The strongly built Dalton showed to be a multi-positional defender, along with a solid secondary ball handler. When he got downhill he was versatile with a nice one and two dribble pull up and ability to take a bump. They were very strong (and consistent) 17 and 22 point performances.

6’1” 2017 Oliver Lynch Daniels – NC Juice All Stars
Everything about Lynch Daniels screams leadership. He is a tough nosed point guard, who gets into the lane and shows great vision with the ball. He makes shots with range, and finishes at the rim. He finished with 18 points and 21 points and included countless assists. He makes players around him better.

6’6” 2016 Dajour Joseph – HH-SO-FLO
Joseph is one that we weren’t as familiar with coming into the event, however he quickly made sure we knew who he was. Joseph carries great length to go along with an extremely bouncy frame. He made shots with nice form, and was able to get to them rim in the half court. Very eager to see more here.
