Here are five names that you will want to know and have on your radar

6'1' Josh Caldwell (Army signee)
Heathwood Hall (Columbia, SC)

Caldwell is a monster on the floor. He is a rugged 2-way player, who has the ability to take over a game with his defense and tenacious way of attacking the rim. Caldwell has help on this Heathwood team, and they could see themselves make a run to the finals. Kudos to Army for locking this one in, and shame on the higher level schools for missing out on him. Caldwell is a tough dude who finished with 18 points in the win.

6'9' 2018 Jake Lanford
Porter Gaud (Charleston, SC)

Porter Gaud is the defending state champion, and the favorite to repeat this year. They have a super talented team, but Lanford may be the reason why as he is the elite true big man in South Carolina's 2018 class. Lanford has huge hands which are very passer friendly. He has long and strong arms which he uses to be a sturdy 2-handed rebounder. Lanford has touch over both shoulders, good footwork on the block and the explosion to dunk on your head off straight vertical. The high academic Lanford currently carries offers from Wofford, Georgia Southern, Winthrop, Mercer, North Florida and Cal Poly. His offer list will be sure to grow this Summer as he is a throwback big with some new age tendencies. He finished with 13 points, 12 boards and 6 blocks in last night's win.

6'6' 2019 Josiah James
Porter Gaud (Charleston, SC)

Already a nationally Top 100 rated prospect, James continues to get better each time on the court. Blessed with an abnormally long wing span and an even more unique sense of court awareness, James has the ability to take over a game and not score a single basket. His full arsenal was on display here as he rebounded at a high level and cause many deflections on defense. It was a masterful performance for the sophomore who already carries offers from the likes of Tennessee, Texas A&M, Clemson, Georgia Tech and others. James finished wiht 15 points, 8 boards, 4 assists and 4 steals in last night's win.

6'7' 2018 Jalen Slawson
Pinewood Prep (Charleston, SC)

Slawson is an incredibly intriguing player. His father is an all-time great at the Citadel and his cousin is a former Top 100 prospect and pro overseas. Slawson has that type of ability, with great length, deep range and undeniable explosion. Right now inconsistency is keeping him back from being a high level prospect. Well he found consistency in this game. He attacked the basket and rebounded with a purpose. It appears the light is starting to come on for the long 6'7' wing, and when it does watch out. The tools are all there to take off. You cannot teach his touch, his range, his explosion, or his length. Last night he finished with 15 points, 8 boards and 4 steals in the win. It was his rebounding and defense in the second half that pulled them away.

6'4' 2017 Christiaan Jones (Stetson signee)
Cardinal Newman (Columbia, SC)

This was the most efficient and complete game we have seen Jones play in a while. Everything he did was within the flow of the offense and he remained engaged for the entirety of the game on the defensive end. Jones is a noted shooter, he has a lot of confidence with the ball. In this one, Jones finished going 4-6 from beyond the arc and he got them off the bounce and the catch. He looks to have cleaned up his release a little bit as well. This was a great game for Jones, a clean game for him. He finished with 19 points, 4 steals, 3 assists and 3 boards in the win.
