2026 Jalyn Connor (Lab U)
It was good to see Connor back in action with Lab U, as he really can flourish as a dynamic scoring option and is fun to watch in how he creates. I really like what Connor provides on the court with not only his dynamic scoring ability but also his ability to be a playmaker. He continues to show his range in knocking down multiple threes but is quick and creative off the dribble and out in transition to fill it up in other ways. Was also impressed with his vision in finding other teammates.
2027 Nigel Lightner (Rock Hill)
One of the younger prospects on the court for Rock Hill, Lightner was able to grab our attention with his overall impact and energy on the court. Lightner was at his best when he was getting downhill, making strong drives and plays to get inside, and finding ways to score through contact. Really liked his overall motor and impact, as he led the way for Rock Hill throughout.
2026 KJ Shouse (Carolina International)
Shouse continues to play at such a high level, and it continues to impress his overall impact even though the scouting report is looking to slow him down. What makes him so tough on the court in my eyes is his versatility; understanding how to be effective inside and out, score off the bounce, create problems with his athleticism, and just understand how to make impact plays for his team. He should be one that college coaches look at more.
2025 Jayden Ross (Rocky River)
Ross has been the proven leader on the court for his team and stepped up once again to help secure a hard-fought victory at the event. The senior guard brings a nice balance of scoring as well as facilitating and running the show, displaying the ability to create his own shot as well as get to the basket but also find his teammates. He came up big in the end, hitting two free throws to help seal the deal for his team.
2025 Gevonte Ware (1of1)
Ware was an absolute beast on the court in his game against CPI. There wasn’t anyone that could match his strength and physicality, as Ware battled hard and through defenders down in the paint. The Rutgers commit was once again strong on the glass, as he outworked opponents, showed good hands, and finished well through contact or got to the line. He continues to show why he is one of the top bigs in the region and has a chance to make his presence felt early at the next level.
2027 RJ Moore (Corvian Community)
We knew what to expect from one of the top prospects in the state and he delivered with a strong 29-point performance against Lake Norman Christian. Moore’s ability to knock down shots with tremendous range is quite impressive, as he is comfortable in catch-and-shoot situations as well as off the dribble. But at 6’5, Moore also does a great job in attacking the basket, finishing around defenders, and having strong body control. Moore can fill it up and does so with ease at times.
2027 Carlos Marshall (Victory Christian)
I was really impressed with what I saw from Marshall, giving us a view not only of how much of a force he can be but more of his overall feel as well. Marshall was off the charts in scoring around the basket and at the rim but also created several opportunities off rebounds as he finished with 17 rebounds in the game. However, it did show us more of his comfort with his handles, facing up and scoring, and also operating from multiple positions on the court as well.
2025 DJ Williams (West Charlotte)
Williams had a really good game overall in helping lead West Charlotte, as the 6’7 long forward finished all around the basket in his game. Williams moved well without the ball, was able to finish with touch and around defenders, and was engaged throughout his game. He battled well, displayed good hands, and made the most of his touches to help his team. Made an impact on both sides of the floor.
2026 Logan Johnson (Ambassador)
Johnson’s progression with his game can’t be denied, as he has impressed this season with his development, his impact, and his overall feel with his game. Johnson continues to flourish with his ability to get to his spots off the ball and be a lethal weapon from outside, showing confidence and range in his game. But he has added more to his game by becoming a stronger and well-balanced guard, finishing on drives, creating and getting downhill, and making smart decisions on the court.
2025 Kamari Cooke (Hopwell)
Cooke was one of the driving forces for his team, as the point guard was able to flourish with his quickness, his change of direction and handles, and his ability to create opportunities for himself and others. Cooke shows patience and vision, finding teammates and delivering passes but also finds ways to use his handles and quickness to get inside the defense and paint touches. Not to mention his scrappiness defensively.
