Murray State Continues to Roll in Recruiting

Every year it seems Murray State comes in and steals some players. Ja Morant, Cameron Payne, Chico Cater, Tevin Brown and Isaiah Canaan come to mind. Well, they went into the 2020 period adding another player to that list with 6’6″ wing Jaqueze Kirby of Jeff Davis (GA). Kirby has a complete game and skill set. He played with a non-stop motor, he is highly explosive and showcased playmaking vision with the ball in his hands. So many tools, and the potential to be a unique talent at the next level. Kudos to Murray State, Kirby is a good one.

Carmel Christian and Concord First Assembly on Jan. 17 is Must Watch

Both programs came into this event with only three losses on the season, with Carmel Christian sitting at #5 and Concord First Assembly #4 in the North Carolina rankings. Both teams left this event with only 3 losses as well. Each team has battled injuries throughout the season, but both should be fully healthy for this matchup. Junior Justin Taylor won game MVP after a scorching 24 point performance and sophomore Elijah Gray recorded another double/double to help lead the way for Carmel Christian. Junior Trae Benham continued to show as one of the more deadly shooters in the Carolinas with his team-high 19 points and Youngstown St signee Chieck Traore recorded another double/double with 4 blocks for Concord First Assembly.

You have to think of these two as front runners for the 3A NCISAA state championship, hard to think they are in the same conference. No less than 10 full scholarship guys will be on the floor with 4 already signed and another six carrying offers. Strap in and enjoy this one.

Expect A Major Recruiting Uptick for RJ Felton

What is there not to like about a player who gives his everything, on every possession? The 6’3″ junior from Aiken gives all-out effort on every play. When you couple that with strength, athleticism, and skill, you have an uber-productive player. Felton went for 28 points on the day, he did everything from initiate offense, defend the oppositions best player and score the ball at each level. He currently carries 4 offers and has the likes of Clemson, South Carolina and Ole Miss calling on him.
