What a great day of basketball it was at the 1st Annual Carmel Christian MLK Showcase. There was a great buzz throughout the day with a steady, if not full, crowd for a majority of the day. The college coaches came in from start to finish with the likes of Virginia Tech. VCU, Charlotte, Elon, Appalachian State, UNC-Greensboro, Citadel, Catawba, Belmont-Abbey and more staying throughout. The list is loaded.

All in all, what a great day.

THE LIST
Today's 5 to Know
Carmel Christian MLK Showcase

6'3' 2019 Caleb Mills
Asheville Christian (NC)

Mills did what he wanted to do on the floor, scoring at will. He has a good handle and is able to score at each level with consistency. In or eyes he was today's top performer overall, Mills torched the nets for 28 points on 11-20 from the field and 3-5 from beyond the arc. It was impressive.

5'11' 2018 Kody Shubert (Presbyterian)
Lincoln Charter (NC)

Shubert is a show, absolutely worth the price of admission. He has a great handle with good vision in the half court. He is explosive, with a crafty nature at the rim. He finished this one with 24 points on 10-18 from the field. He added 8 assists.

6’3 Rabun Gap (GA) point guard Tomas Butkus

6'3' unsigned senior Tomas Butkus
Rabun Gap (GA)

No one plays harder than Butkus. He is a vocal leader who gets everyone involved and also celebrates all successes. It just so happens that he is a high level performer himself (its great when your best player is also your hardest worker and biggest cheerleader). He finished this one with 28 points on 7-13 from the field and 2-5 from 3. He also added 7 rebounds, 4 steals and 3 assists. He's done the work, the offers should start coming soon.

6'5' unsigned senior Stephen Edoka
Concord 1st Assembly (NC)

Edoka just gets everything done, across the board, on both ends of the floor. He is a high level defender, with the ability to defend the 2-4. He has a great motor and explosion and is shooting over 40% from 3 this season. He is a winning player. He finished with 22 points on 8-12 from the field. He added 7 rebounds, 3 steals and 2 blocked shots.

6'6' 2019 Audiese Toney
Trinity Christian (NC)

Toney is a complete player, you are able to do so many things with him. The lefty has a college ready frame with great length. He has a high court IQ with the ability to defend the ball or the wing very well. He showcased the complete arsenal tonight with 20 points, 7-11 from the field with 5 rebounds, 4 assists and 2 steals. He's a major player.

6'5' 2019 Donovan Gregory
Carmel Christian (NC)

Just this past week Gregory was ranked 101 in the country by Rivals.com. The long jumping jack is a high energy forward who just goes out and makes positive plays. He is a tough defender and a high wire act in transition. In this one he finished with 23 points on 8-17 from the field with 9 rebounds, 6 assists and 3 steals in the win. High energy and productive.
