The John Wall Holiday Invitational kicked off its third day of action with the seventh-place game between Clayton High School and Millbrook High School. Despite some ups and downs for each of these squads throughout the course of the event, they both possess enough talent to make for an entertaining contest. Millbrook previously matched up with Purcell Marian and Salisbury while Clayton battled against Morris Catholic and North Pitt, proving that neither team had an easy path to arrive at this point. Regardless, the stage was set for these two squads to put on a show to start the day.Things kicked off in an extremely slow, defensive-oriented manner, as neither team was able to find much consistency on offense. The back-and-forth action ensued for the entirety of the first half, but Millbrook managed to secure the lead going into halftime. Following the break, the Wildcats began to hit their stride and never looked back. They ran their offense and converted at a high volume while controlling the glass and locking in defensively. The Wildcats secured a 58-33 victory over Clayton.
