The Daniel Twins, Becoming everyone’s favorite

No matter the venue or the event, time and time again, we constantly hear coaches at all levels say the same thing. “We love watching the Daniel twins play!” While Chase and Carson both stand a modest 6’0, they are what’s good about basketball. We have watched them countless times in club travel ball as well as high school along with camps, one thing remains the same.

They are fearless competitors that gives maximum energy on both sides of the court. They have excellent body language, never complain and simply lets their play on the court do all the talking. They are the type of young players everyone would like to adopt as their basketball sons. They do things the right way! Both Chase and Carson are polite young men off the court, but also bring a no-nonsense and workmanlike approach to the game.

Playing for Coach Jim Baker of Central Cabarrus, the Daniel twins are instrumental in their success. Central Cabarrus is currently 17-0 averaging 82.6 PPG and has become one of the favorites to win the NCHSAA 3A. The team is also averaging 20 assists and steals per game. While only sophomores, the Daniel twins picked up their first collegiate level offer from Catawba College, a regional D2 power.

Chase is averaging 16.8 PPG, 4.1 APG, 4.0 RPG, and 5.0 SPG while brother Carson is averaging 13.2 PPG, 5.3 APG, 3.5 RPG and 3.9 SPG. Currently ranked No. 3 in our NCHSAA statewide poll, many will complain about their relatively low strength of schedule index. That being said, we watched them play countless times in our Hoop State Fall League as Team Force. They finished the league with a 10-1 record losing in the semi-finals to Believe Prep Academy 78-75.

Chase is currently ranked No. 24 while Carson is ranked No. 25 in our most recent North Carolina 2024 rankings, which is one of the deepest and most talented class since 2016. And by the way, next time you get a chance to watch them play, you too will quickly come away impressed. They too, may just become your two favorite players.
