“Jasir is a powerful downhill finisher. He really excels in transition and finishing above the rim. He will provide a strong and versatile defender, he can guard 1-4 on the court. He will be able to knock down open threes and provide vertical spacing as well.”
Game Breakdown from Team Lillard coach TJ Taylor
“First and foremost, Jasir is a great person, which translates to him being a really good teammate. He is a two-way player who has made tremendous strides over the years because he puts time into improving his game, body, and mentality. Jasir is a winner and a joy to be around. Coach Buzz and staff landed a gem!”
What Does This Commitment Mean to Texas A&M:
The Aggies are off to a strong start, landing their second commitment in the Class of 2025 with Jasir Rencher and Jeremiah Green. With Green being the combo guard, Rencher will be able to bring that physical feel to the court along with athleticism. His blend of his frame, versatility, and impact scoring both off the dribble and knocking down shots should certainly be able to flourish in the SEC, as well as being able to defend multiple positions. Rencher has displayed a nice feel in spotting up from behind the arc with a fluid release, helping open up the defense more with his shot-making ability. But with his power and ability to embrace contact, he can really mix it up well on the court. Rencher should be able to make an impact in a variety of ways on the court for the Aggies in the coming years and with this commitment, Texas A&M’s recruiting class for 2025 is shaping up quite nicely for Buzz Williams.
