Broussard is electric off the bounce and a terrific finisher. He attacks the lane like a man on a mission and imposes his will on defenders. He forced a ton of pressure on them because that beautiful rainmaker can be deadly; solid mid-range game as well. Plainly put, he is an elite shooter, hard to contain and with blow-by-speed and ruthless handles, he is something fun to watch. And Rhett is a lefty. Extremely creative off the bounce and getting into seams, he can drop a sweet dime. Rhett rebounds extremely well for his size also.
In the summer, Broussard focused on expanding what he could do on the court to impact every game more including passing, rebounding, and elevating that triple-threat scoring ability. Last season, he made 72 threes in 25 games at a blistering 47.4 percent clip. He also made 45 two-point shots while shooting 59.2 percent and adding 95rebs, 19stls, 17 defls, and 8 blks while leading his team to a state championship.
Broussard’s goal this year of to repeat as state champion while making everyone around him better and becoming a more vocal leader. Coaches should know it’s his work ethic that sets him apart from the pack and goes 100 percent at whatever he does on the court.
