6’8” Nate Brafford
Tuscola HS (Waynesville, NC)
No one at the high school level left more of an impression than Brafford. Standing 6’8”, was 6’3” at this time last year, Brafford showed guard skills. He pushed the break with a great handle and control and finished the play with a deft pass or controlled at the rim. He showed good length and timing on the defensive end and showed a competitive nature battling for rebounds. Naturally, he will have to gain some strength to his frame, but the size and skill set are unique. He is one we are excited about watching over the next three years of high school as he could be someone who really explodes with a Gavin Bizeau (Duquesne) type skill set.
6’8” Tre’Lin Harper
Asheville Christian (Swannanoa, NC)
Harper walks into the gym and you take notice. He is a huge player, with great length and strong, broad shoulders. Once he starts player you see how strong he plays around the basket. He has good hands to go with a soft touch. Still only a sophomore, Harper is raw but does a lot of great things around the basket. D1s should get familiar with him now, get in to see him. In three seasons, we feel like he won’t be so under the radar.
5’11” Hamilton Campbell
Grundy HS (Vansant, VA)
Campbell immediately caught the eye of the staff and we stayed transfixed on him throughout the day. With the way he was passing the ball, it was hard to take your eyes off him as you felt as if you would miss something. Despite his slender stature, and the fact he was two and three years younger than the guards he was going against, Campbell was able to get where he wanted on the floor and really set up his teammates well. Campbell knocked down jump shots and got where he wanted off the bounce. As a sophomore, he won the Mr. Playmaker award for the high school camp. He is an absolute college player and how big he ends up getting will determine his level.
