The games have only gotten more intense and competitive at Phenom Hoops’ Country Roads Holiday Invitational, and Teay’s Valley versus Henderson Collegiate has certainly followed in suit. Teay’s Valley is consistently regarded as one of the top teams in the region and Henderson Collegiate definitely plays above their label as some small program from North Carolina. It’s been an absolute battle between these two squads, featuring a ton of lead changes and take-no-prisoners approach throughout. Teay’s Valley entered halftime with a one-point lead and did a great job of extending it over the course of the second half. Javonte Waverly, Nick Green, Kalib Matthews, and Akhiris Holden all played equal parts in Henderson Collegiate’s effort. However, Josiah Davis and David Jones were too much to contain, as Teay’s Valley secured a 79-65 victory over Henderson Collegiate.
