Team Synergy and the Charlotte Nets were two evenly matched teams that started out going blow for blow. Moving the ball around to get good shots, in addition pushing the ball up the floor back and forth. 6’2 Anthony Testa ’20, game MVP for Team Synergy (18 for the game) was brilliant with his jump shot early, hitting four 3s scoring 12 points in the first half. 6’2 Kelvin Perry ’20, for Team Synergy also had a very productive first half with 7 points. 6’4 Zach Bessette ’20, who has been having a pretty solid summer so far, dropped 9 points in the first half for the Charlotte Nets to keep pace in this tightly contested game. Seven additional teammates scored in the first half for the Nets.

In the second half, 5’9 Lloyd Latta ’20, had the hot hand for the Nets, pouring in 11 points, finishing with 14, while Jordan Dawkins, team MVP, scored 9 in the second half to finish with 13 points. With 1:55 left in the game, Charlotte closed the gap to come within three, with Team Synergy being up 64-61, but 5’11 Justin Brown ’20, scoring all of his 12 points in the first half, hit some major free throws down the stretch (6 of 6), to help his team pull out the win, and the 17u Red Bracket Bronze trophy, 76-69. 6’5 Osa Idehen’s, class of 2020, impact on the game for Team Synergy can’t go understated. He scored 13 points, grabbed some big rebounds, and played solid defense. 5’9 Lloyd Latta ’20, was also solid for the Nets with 14 points for the game.
