As you may have seen, Phenom Hoops has previewed several teams early on this spring, giving everyone a chance to look at the talent that will be coming through our events this year. One team that many should start monitoring and checking out is the UC27 Carolina Dreamchasers, a program that has provided several next-level prospects and looks to have a few more coming through the lines. We spoke with Coach DeShannon Morris about his team, as he broke down each player’s game a little more.

Game Review: Highly skilled 3-lever scorer and knockdown shooter who finishes well with either hand. Type of kid who's also unselfish and likes to get his teammates involved. Capable of guarding 1-4 and is a solid rebounder for his size.

Position: W/F – 6'6
Game Review: Developing scorer who has grown 6+ inches in a year. Long, lengthy, athletic player with a high basketball I.Q. that can guard many positions. A tough player that gives full effort on both sides of the court rebounding and shot disruption. A playmaker that looks for open teammates and opportunities.

Game Review: Mobile wing with elite athleticism. Has great length which he uses to rebound and contest shots. He can knock down open shots and can also get downhill to finish at the rim. Makes smart decisions with the ball and plays with a high motor.

Game Review: Fast, hard worker who can score on all 3 levels. Pass first guard who has a great feel for the game. Can knock down the three. Doesn't turn the ball over often.

Game Review: Spot-up shooter with the ability to knock down shots off the catch, cuts hard, hustles up and down the court, is able to find the open man, encouraging and vocal with teammates when he is on the court and on the bench, and maintains high academics.

Position: CG – 6'
Game Review: Young, quick guard who can defend the perimeter very well. Can get to the rim and find open teammates, can finish with both hands, and can knock down the 3.

Game Review: High-IQ point guard who can score at all 3 levels knocking down shots and taking care of the ball. Strong frame for size and is a pest on the ball defensively. Fast in the open court and does well finding open teammates for shots.

Position: Forward
Height 6'4'
Game Review: Noah is a fierce rebounder, rim protector, and a consistent scorer around the basket. Solid shooter. He is an inspiring team player with an impressive 4.3 GPA.

Position: G – 6'0'
Game Review: High Motor Guard with great speed. Always active on the boards and loves to push the pace. Knows how to get downhill and into defenders. Steps up as a defender for his team and has the ability to will his team to win as he is developing as a young point guard.
