Amari Pitts

Team HoopState came to the Summer Havoc ready to compete and that they did.  Just coming up just shy in hopes of a championship, they certainly have given fans and scouts a preview of their game.  This is a program that has a lot of young talent that will look to make even more noise this summer and down the road.

Let's just take a look at a few names that you will want to write down and check out.

2023 5'10 Kevin Concepcion is a point guard out of Vance high school that already is showing he can get it done on the football field with a Winthrop offer.  But he plays extremely tough on the court and attacks the basket offensively, while also being able to shoot the mid-range shot.

2023 6'1 Amari Odom is the son of Division I player and coach of NCCU Women's Basketball, Trisha Stafford-Odom.  He is a guard that can shoot it from anywhere on the court, showing that at the Summer Havoc hitting 6 3-pointers in one game alone.  He also has a tremendous basketball IQ.

2023 5'10 Keshawn Brown is yet another guard that plays with a great IQ on the floor, making smart decisions.  He is a player that plays fast, sees the floor well to find his teammates, but also scores incredibly well off the dribble.

2023 6'1 Messiah Pitts is a small forward that does the dirty work that not everyone sees on the court. He gets after loose balls, is a fierce competitor, and is also a good attacking prospect to get tot eh rim and score. He continues to work on his outside jumper but certainly one to watch.

2023 6'4 Jaybron Harvey from Southern high school could be a big-time prospect down the road. He is an absolute monster around the rim and a tremendous shot blocker with his size at an early age. Harvey showcases tremendous athleticism on the court. He has already had Arizona State reach out his way and more could be coming.

This is a young team but one to really start looking at with the talent they possess.  In a loaded 2023 class, these will certainly be names to remember down the road.
