The final game of the day pitted Team Charlotte 17U up against the Greensboro Warriors in the 17U Blue Division Gold Championship game. 6'4 2021 G AJ Smith was tough to handle in this one as the sophomore playing up for Team Charlotte has a muscular build and can get hot from deep as he finished with 13 points. Team Charlotte dominated the first half thanks to some tough defense all around holding the Warriors to just 16 points. In the second half, the Warriors started to come alive. 6'4 F Jordan Williams was impacting the game in a lot of ways, including rebounding and working well out of the mid-post area on his way to scoring 9 points. 6'5 G Ahmil Flowers was great for the Warriors as he scored a team-high 14 points and did so with some aggressive drives and run outs from steals. 6'1 PG Trayden Williams was the X-Factor for Team Charlotte in the second half though. The game MVP ended with 16 points, including some tough buckets down the stretch and he hit some clutch free throws to close the game out as the Warriors had mounted a tremendous second-half comeback. Despite the comeback from the Warriors, Team Charlotte was able to hold off the run and wound up winning the game 57-47. Again, these two teams have a ton of next level guys who can make an instant impact at the next level.
