his is a three past series of three prospects from Team Charlotte 15U, a young but talented AAU program that took home the championship at the David Rose Classic, that certainly took home some praise from Phenom Hoops Report.
Team Charlotte simply dominated in the event and three prospects showed that they could be prospects to watch down the road in the state of North Carolina.
The first prospect that we look at is 2018 Jalen Harris, who is a very athletic guard and can really make a difference on both sides of the court.
Harris is from the Charlotte area, playing at Olympic high school. He played JV as a freshman and in 15 games, he averaged 7.1 points per game, 5.0 rebounds, and 2.0 steals. But when watching this young man, one can see that the talent is there if he continues to work hard.
Phenom Hoops was able to catch up with Team Charlotte 15U coach, Coach LJ Johnson, to talk more about this up and coming guard. Here is what he had to say about the young man.
“We have been productive since the last event. Harris is still very raw. We have been pleased with his progression though. He continues to develop his mid-range game also. He will be really good if he continues to work.”
“He is young but he has a leadership characteristic about him. Also, he is very competitive. We’ve won some games we shouldn’t have off his shear will. How much he grows will determine the level he plays at the college level.”
Harris will be one to watch and keep tabs on down the road if he continues to develop his game to go along with his athletic ability and competitiveness.
