Checking in on our good friends at Piedmont Classical this past weekend at the Phenom Prep Showcase, before they look to make noise at the Hoop State Championship, they continue to remind us that this is a program that has talent to be found on the court.

They already have a few players committed on the roster in 2023 Josiah Watkins and 2023 Khalif Barnes, who once again shined on the big stage. But this is a program that consistently brings more and more talent for college programs, and there are still prospects that need attention.

Starting with the unsigned seniors, 2023 Nigel Vincent and 2023 Julius Harrison are two prospects that could be late snags for college programs. Vincent is a 6'1 that is tough, unselfish, high-motor guard who displays clear emphasis as a defender and gap-filler on both ends of the floor. He's not going to look to force the action or do too much, but rather find ways to put his teammates in ideal situations. He can mix it up offensively, and make a variety of other plays. Harrison is a 6'6 prospect that has continued to use his size and showcase his shot-making ability with range but also is a force in getting to the basket. One of the top three-point shooters in the state that has racked up over 100 made threes this year.

Looking at a few of the younger prospects, 2024 Richard Goods continues to impress as the 6'8 forward continues to make strides with his game.  At the event, he ran the floor and looked to finish strong at the rim time after time, as well as operate in the post or stretch the court. But he also did a nice job in making plays in other areas, being strong on the boards, blocking or altering shots, and even making a few good passes to set up his teammates. Then you have players like 2026 6'5 Nick Daniel and 2026 6'1 Cam Anderson, two players that could be next up for this program.

Watching Piedmont Classical though, it was just another reminder that talent can always be found in this program and it is no different this season.
