Recently checking out talent at the La Porte Invitational, we were able to check out a lot of big-time talent that many have already heard of and are being highly recruited. But when we recently watched Orangeville Prep, we had our eyes on a player we hadn’t watched before but he showed flashes that made him very enticing.

2024 6’10 Johan Munch from Orangeville Prep is a player that I would highly look at and think his best basketball is ahead of him. Coming from Denmark, we were intrigued with the value he brought to the table but also could see that he is just starting to show what he could ultimately be in the end as he continues to develop. Munch is a skilled big man who moves well. He can make plays in a variety of ways and showed that on Day 1 at the La Porte Invitational, finishing with 6 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists, 2 steals, and 2 blocks. And when you dive into more of his game and past games, you can see that he has really soft touch around the basket in finishing, is comfortable in stepping out even as far as behind the arc, understands how to impact the game in other ways, sees the floor well, has good vision at his position, and again he is just starting to understand and develop even more his game.

We learned more about Munch, we learned that his recruitment is just starting but I do believe that this is a hidden talent that deserves a lot more attention and can offer a lot as he continues to adjust and develop.
