Word of God is Absolutely Loaded with Talent

The only program in attendance who actually had to split their team in half, calling Word of God 'talented' is like saying Ray Allen was a 'good' shooter'an understatement to say the least. Between guys like Freddie Dilione, Isaiah Coleman, Davin Cosby (DNP), Mekhi Grant, Truman Claytor, Mayar Wol, Jamal Brown, Zion Collins, Trevor Best, Zion Gardner, Justin Monden, and numerous others, it's easy to see why folks are so enthralled by this collection of pieces. The blend of talent and depth is what separates this group from majority of opponents. Expect the Holy Rams to be must-see entertainment throughout the upcoming season.

Holly Springs Will Surprise Folks

After seeing loads of success over the recent years, it feels like folks might be slightly underrating the Golden Eagles of Holly Springs. Without Collin Kuhl, they still showcased a high-level group behind their core of Ryan Crotty, Micah Jones, Jake Cackovic, Houston Wills, Will James, and Will Atkinson. Add in the athletic forward, and this group should upset numerous teams this season. Expect them to compete for a state championship, as they are simply better than the general public seems to think.

Everything Coming Together for The Burlington School

There were some question marks surrounding The Burlington School after the departure of their former coach, but the hiring of George Marshall should've eased a lot of the concern (which has only been further evidenced by the Spartans preseason success). Their main core of Cam Flippen, Zion Walker, Savion Taylor, Ashton Troutman, Ty Outlaw, Steven Lassiter, Jordan Durham, Josh Randolph, and Myles Hooker should have no issue competing for a state championship. In addition to the overall roster appeal, this is quite easily the most talent Marshall has ever coached despite winning his entire career.

Special Young Prospects in Attendance

Without belaboring the point too much, young prospects like Jackson Keith, Colt Langdon, Trevor Best, Juice Coleman, and others shined to represent the Class of 2025. Meanwhile, Rivers Knight and Cole Cloer were quite clearly the top prospects on display from the Class of 2026. Each of these guys are already pretty well-known, but they still deserve attention for their noteworthy play.
