Carolina Riptide

5'10 '21 Trace Forest- The true point guard is another well-rounded player on this Riptide squad. He passes and shoots the ball pretty well, and doesn't ever force the action. Forest has the ability to play alongside other point guards or as the lone floor general, and is successful either way. He has a pretty compact frame, which allows him to maintain quality body control on drive attempts.

6'7 '21 Jonas Courtney- The big man took an absolute beating throughout this contest, yet continued to fight on the glass. He possesses a strong, stocky frame, and knows how to properly utilize it on both ends of the floor. Courtney positions himself well for drop-off passes and second-chance opportunities, but can also score from the low block efficiently.

Team Loaded Griggs

6'0 '21 Trent Lose- The wiry point guard exemplifies great polish and decision-making with the ball in his hands; he got to the rim with relative ease throughout this contest and frequently made plays for others on penetration opportunities. His blend of creativity, ability to operate off the bounce, and excellent feel for the game make him a difficult cover for opponents.

6'0 '21 John Anthony Baker- Their main change-of-pace guard is Baker, who plays with quickness and a terrific burst of speed. He gets by opponents even easier than Lose and pursues rebounds extremely well for a guard. Baker also displays a strong IQ and the necessary vision to quickly accumulate a lot of assists.

Team Invasion

6'0 '20 Jeremy Mull- The two-way guard was great throughout their first contest of the day. He had another showing where he was able to effectively control various facets of the game. Mull does it all, from passing to scoring to outrebounding everyone on the floor, as a guard. He has strong instincts as a defender and forces turnovers fairly often.

5'11 '20 Brion Jones- Team Invasion looked to Jones to burden a lot of the scoring load throughout this contest, and he did so with nice efficiency. He forced numerous turnovers and attacked a lot in transition, but also looked to get downhill in the half-court as well. Jones communicates well and is pretty unselfish on the floor.

Team Vision

5'10 '21 Kavan Horton- The combo-guard continues to make quality strides as a playmaker, yet has done a nice job of maintaining his scoring efficiency. He is a solid ball-handler and sees the floor exceptionally well. Horton displays a strong IQ and really knows how to create angles for passes in tight spaces.

6'1 '20 Solomon Todd- There were few players from this game that were more capable scorers than Todd. The high-motor wing prospect has a wiry frame and utilized it to absorb contact on penetration opportunities, where he scored most his points. Todd is a solid athlete who can thrive in transition, able to fill the lane or handle the ball well.

Durham Hurricanes

6'8 '20 Sam Hood- Few prospects have been able to match Hood's ability to consistently perform at a high level on both ends of the floor. He's a true three-level scorer with quality athleticism and the ability to play above the rim for blocks, dunks, and rebounds. Hood has great timing and overall instincts as a rim-protector. It's honestly shocking how talented he is and no programs have given him a proper look yet.

6'2 '20 Joshua Alston- The big-bodied forward is one of the most unique players on this Hurricanes roster, given his uncommon blend of strength, speed, and compact frame. Alston is nearly impossible to stop in transition, when he's going downhill and racing towards the rim. Alston is an exceptional rebounder, given his height and ability to outwork bigger/stronger opponents on the glass.

Boo Williams Carolina

6'1 '20 Aaron Ross- No prospect has displayed a motor that can match Ross' or his constant pursuit of the ball. He's the most well-rounded player on this team, given his ball-handling, penetration skills, and ability to lock up on defense. Ross forced numerous turnovers and immediately led the break throughout this game. He was their best performer on either side of the ball, but it'll be interesting to see how he continues to develop.

6'4 '21 Gary Williams- There is a lot of intrigue with Williams, given his size and pretty unidentified skillset. He's raw and has the ability to grow in a variety of ways as a prospect. He plays hard, runs the floor well, and displays a decent feel around the basket. The Apex product is just beginning to scratch the surface of his abilities.
