Jeff Bendel:
6’6 ’22 Avion Pinner (Garner Road)
We could’ve selected various other prospects, even from this team, but there’s something about Pinner that brings ridiculous excitement. He’s long and skilled, but just beginning to scratch the surface of his long-term upside. Pinner has ball skills, shoots the ball well, and displays nice athleticism, which should have college coaches taking notice immediately.
Miles Masercola:
6’11 2022 Patrick Wessler: CC Elite
Wessler is a really intriguing young player with his touch, high IQ, and crazy size for a kid of his age. He understands how to play the game the right way, and as he continues to learn how to apply his skillset, get more athletic, expect Wessler to become a high major recruit sooner rather than later. Has a legit shot to be the 4th guy after the big 3 (Rice, Bradley, Hood-Schifino) in NC’s 2022 class.
Jamie Shaw:
6’11” 2022 Patrick Wessler
CC Elite 2021-2022
There is so much to like about Wessler’s game. The jumbo lefty, has feel, touch, hands, length, pretty much all the tools wrapped into a developing 15 year old’s frame. Wessler can face up from the high post or as a trail big, from there he can put it on the floor or knock down the catch & shoot/pick & pop 3. He has back to the basket moves, with a go-to and counter. He is also tough on the boards, chasing rebounds both in and out of his area. So much to like here, hard to believe he still has 3 years of high school ball left, but believe he is a highest level recruit who will be recruited by Power 5 schools.
