Phenom 150 Evaluation from Phenom Hoops:

We look at a player that was arguably the most impressive defensive presence on this team, Cayden Mobley. He's a high-motor guard with a quality feel for the game and an unselfish, team-first mentality. Mobley is simply a gamer and two-way ball of energy that makes hustle plays with regularity, but also has the ability to knock down open shots and make smart decisions in transition…  Coach Smith on Mobley: 'Cayden is a guy that every team must have. He's a fierce competitor that is tenacious on defense!! He will make the winning stop on defense! He's a great passer and makes the right pass to open teammates. He would have a spot on my team anytime! Cayden can continue to work on ball-handling to enable him to create his own shot. He can continue to work on his offense off the dribble.' Mobley proved to be an excellent asset to his camp team and will be one to watch grow at AC Reynolds.

Coach's Thoughts:

Cayden Mobley makes your team better every time he walks on the court. He has the ability to make the 'right basketball play' despite what hot streak of scoring he may be on. Cayden is a physical guard that will penetrate and kick the ball out for an easy score. Don't leave this kid open as he will knock down the 3 ball.

Cayden offensively sets his mind to make his team better. He will often average more assists than points. Cayden has above average ball handling which makes his leadership of an offensive better than most as his distribution can come from either hand at any time. Opposing teams will describe Cayden as a guard you have to guard outside of the 3-point line. Offensively, he would much rather make the highlight pass than score. His unselfishness on the court makes his team a winning team.

Defensively Cayden can guard some team's best players. He is an extremely strong and physical guard at 5'9. You will not go through him. Cayden stands out on defense and you can tell defense is why this kid plays the game. His understanding of help defense and the tricks he keeps in his bag to play defense makes him a kid you want on the court. Cayden knows how to play the 'mental game' of basketball with other players, which often is another advantage to help him come out on top defensively.
