Sometimes players continue to go under the radar despite posting impressive numbers and coming off a tremendous season. Late on Friday at the Teammates Nationals in Rock Hill, Phenom Hoops got another chance to watch 2022 6’7 Trey Ramsey in action in what he can bring to the table.

Back in 2019, we got a chance to watch Ramsey in action, in which Miles Masercola had this to say:

“Ramsey is an unstoppable scorer using his footwork and touch on the block while also showing the ability to be a knockdown 3 point shooter. He moves like a wing but understands his role on this team as a go-to offensive option and a rim protector. He had 26 points and 13 Rebounds in my only viewing and picked up right where he left off from the QC Showcase.”

He did much of the same again at the Teammates Nationals.

Ramsey’s game has a natural feel to fit that stretch-forward mold, showing that he can work down low with tremendous footwork, good hands, and quick decisions but also shows a smooth, fluid release from three. He put in impressive performances of 31 points, 30 rebounds on Day 1, and another one in which he put in 25 points.

Coming off a sophomore campaign in which he averaged 15 points and seven rebounds, also earning All-Conference and All-Tournament honors, Ramsey continues to show that he can produce at a high level. He also is getting it done in the classroom with a 4.46 weighted GPA.

So far, he has earned interest from Mars Hill and Lees McRae but Ramsey has a chance to really see his recruitment see an uptick this summer and next season.
