Here are some storylines to watch for this weekend down at the Outer Banks, as the Albemarle Landscapes Good Guys vs. Cancer should be off the charts!

Two top programs meet up between WOG vs. TBS on Friday

Two of the top teams in the state of North Carolina will be one of the highlights on Friday night, as Word of God takes on The Burlington School.  Two teams that have been mentioned on the national stage collide and only one can come away with a win. Both teams have some of the top players in their classes, both teams bring a ton of athleticism, and both can absolutely fill it up. Word of God brings Freddie Dilione, Brandon Gardner, Jakwon Moore, and others, while TBS brings Michael Nwoko, Kheni Briggs, Kobe George, Avion Pinner, and others to the floor… so get ready for the show.

What is South Central all about'

South Central has been ranked as one of the top teams in the state and comes in undefeated on the season early on.  But this will be a true chance for the Falcons to show what they are all about on a big stage.  A senior-led team by Joseph Thompson, Omar Harris, and Nicholas Taylor, South Central will be going up against Myers Park and Henderson Collegiate, showing what they are made of and if they are the real deal.

Charlotte schools head east

Myers Park and Cox Mill head out east, as these two very talented teams will look to make noise on the east coast of North Carolina.  Myers Park has talent in ’23 Elijah Strong, ’24 Sir Mohammad, and some key veterans, as the Mustangs look to come back once again and make some more noise in the Outer Banks.  Cox Mill, led by head coach Tyler Johnson, brings strong depth and could be one to watch this season with veteran leaders.  Both are teams that could compete for a championship and they would love nothing more than to come east and show what they are about.

Get ready for an offensive show

We spoke about Word of God and Moravian Prep above but on Saturday night, these two teams will meet up in what should be a heated battle and one that could be an offensive show.  Both teams can absolutely fill it up with the players they have, and we certainly got a taste of the action at the NC Top 80 between a few guys.  That is why this will be a must-see game and worth the ticket price alone on Saturday afternoon!

Can east coast teams stay hot'

Camden holds a 3-1 record early on, Washington also comes in at 3-1 on the season, South Central is undefeated like we spoke about above, Manteo is also undefeated as well, and the home-team First Flight sits at 2-1 on the season.  All these programs have started out the season strong and have a chance to make a ton of noise on the big stage.  Fans get a chance to show what they are all about and Phenom Hoops gets a chance to watch new names on the biggest of stages.
