Christ School looking to make noise

Though it is still early in the season, Christ School has been able to come out strong overall. With a good start to the season with big wins, Christ School has plenty of talent, has terrific depth on the roster, and has firepower wherever you look. They will have two big tests at the George Lynch Invitational, and if they come away with strong showings, they may be able to claim the best team in North Carolina early on.

Davidson Day making an early statement

Davidson Day has a whole new roster from last year and they made a statement to start the season with a win vs. Cannon.  But they will now be in the bright lights on the big stage, against possibly a Top-25 type team in Christ School.  They have the size and talent to earn the win, and if they can get the win, this would be one of the biggest statements made early on in the season. A sneaky team to watch out for.

1of1 Academy looking to be that national power

We watched 1of1 early on and they bring a ton of talent to the court, between 2026 Yohance Connor, 2026 Gevonte Ware, 2025 Taye Smith, 2026 LJ Rush, 2024 Sebastian Akins, 2026 Jeremiah Jackson, and so many others.  They have been impressive so far but they have a chance this weekend to really put themselves on the map and it starts Friday night.

Northside Christian looking to make another statement

A strong showing at the Carmel Tip-Off, Northside Christian is back and looking to make another statement against 1of1.  This is a team that plays scrappy, hard, and competes on both ends.  They have multiple seniors to watch out for in Josh Bullock and Kyrell Shaw, but have had others step up to bring a balanced attack.  This is a team that gets after it and will do so again on Friday night.

Carmel Christian and Concord Academy bringing talent to watch out for

These are two teams that bring stock-rising talents to the table that college coaches and others will want to check out more of. 2024 Kameron Taylor and 2025 Bryce Slay introduced their duo at the Carmel Tip-Off in a big way, and they will be a must-see at this event. Concord Academy has several new names including 2025 Icare Bakadisula, an intriguing 67 forward who had a coming-out party at Carmel as well. Two fantastic teams to watch for.

Learning more about Mooresville and United Faith

It will be our first viewings of Mooresville and United Faith on the season. United Faith has a very good roster of players, including 2025 JD Bowden, 2024 Isaiah Sutherland, 2025 Dylan Deluca, and others that will look to lead the charge in hopes of starting the season off strong. Mooresville as well is a team that we will get to learn about, with intriguing guard play and inside play.
