Jayden Harris should be entering the national picture

2024 Jayden Harris has certainly been a popular name over the last few weeks, especially with college programs.  He now holds double-digit offers from an array of schools, and it is easy to see why when you watch his game.  Getting an updated viewing of the young man, Harris has not only continued to develop his game but he has also grown as a prospect, standing around 6'6, and continuing to be a lethal shooter from outside.  On multiple occasions, Harris displayed a fluid, confident release from behind the arc but also added other dimensions to his game; finishing around the basket and over defenders, creating more for himself, and making unselfish passes to get others involved.  He was quite impressive and from what we saw, Harris should be entering more of the national spotlight.

Jaylen Cross should have the attention of so many programs (and hold multiple offers)

Another player in the class of 2024, Jaylen Cross had a ton of buzz surrounding him and with him going up against some of the premier talents at the event including Harris and Langston Boyd, Cross showed that he belonged up there and should be holding multiple offers already.  He has a great feel to his game, whether it is stepping up and being more of a force offensively (scoring from multiple levels), creating off the dribble, making smart decisions and setting up his teammates, stepping up to defend, or impacting the court in a variety of other ways, Cross displayed that he can be a vital piece on the floor.  And there are PLENTY of college programs that could use a guy just like that at the next level.

Teams looking strong early on

What is so great about team camps in the summer is that we get a chance to view what programs will be offering come the high school season.' Now, of course, things can certainly change from now until then, but you get a good understanding of a few.' And there were a few teams that really played well and should be ones to watch heading into the season.' Central Cabarrus looked, once again, like a well-oiled machine ready to make a run at a title this year.' Quality Education had a strong showing with a few new guys looking to lead the charge. Mallard Creek will look a little different but could be strong in the Charlotte area and Salisbury played well with Harris leading the charge.' Sun Valley, WS Christian, Grimsley, Mooresville, and others also looked strong at times as well and could be ones to watch. On Day 2, QEA continued to look strong but others like Menchville, Hough, Fayetteville Academy, and a few others were really strong as well, finishing the day undefeated.

Underrated no more; players to start jumping on more

Outside of getting a chance to check out teams in general, we also can view more players that we believe should be receiving more attention from an array of levels of college programs. There were a few of those players that came through; 2023 Tyson Barrett from Quality Education captured several eyes with his 6'8, mobile game that can finish strong. 2023 Will Gray is another that continues to showcase his impact on both ends of the court. 2023 Etienne Strothers was another newer name that really impressed our scouts with his ability to create.  The list goes on and on, as we will continue to shed more light but these were just a few that stood above the rest.
