Player: Micah Gunter
Class: 2028
School: Greensboro Day

The high school season has wrapped up for many players and that allows us at Phenom Hoops to take a look back at players that some would say have seen their stock rise after a strong season. So let’s dive into a few players that will be prospects to keep an eye on this upcoming summer and down the road.

It may be hard to think of a freshman as a stock riser early on but from the start of the season to where it ended, 2028 Mich Gunter from Greensboro Day was one that only got better as the season went on. This is a young prospect that only got better as the season went on, stepped up in bigger situations, and eventually proved that he could be a valuable weapon on the floor. Gunter plays well within the game, not only showing his ability to be a playmaker for himself and others but also an extremely strong weapon with his quickness, his creativity, and his shot making with range. Gunter continues to prove his confidence from behind the arc, showcasing a quick release and his ability to find open spots on the court. But again, he isn’t a one-trick pony with his range as he shows creativity with his handles, along with his ability to create and score over defenders and make high IQ decisions. Which is why this looks to be the start of what could be a tremendous high school career here in North Carolina.
