We had plenty of players come through the doors in Raleigh (NC) for the Phenom Hoops LIVE, as we continue to highlight teams and players throughout. The Mid-State Magic brings plenty of players that college programs should be looking at, but we wanted to highlight a 2024 prospect in 6’7 Taky Prosper, as he could be a late snag.
Previously Stated:
“Even as the recruiting landscape has shifted, someone like Prosper has the tools to be an amazing late addition. At 6-foot-7, he’s a long, athletic forward with an unselfish, blue-collar approach to the game. Prosper battles for every rebound, defends multiple positions, and continues to showcase a blossoming offensive identity. He still finishes well around the basket and lurks effectively for lobs and putbacks, but it’s clear that he’s getting more comfortable as a creator and perimeter shooter. Given everything stated, Prosper should be a target for varying levels of programs.”
Prosper is one that we have talked about on several occasions in the past and we still believe he should be a late target for a program. Prosper has continued to add and develop his game, yet we still believe there is more left in the tank as far as his development. Prosper brings good size, knows how to be a force around the basket, brings athleticism in scoring at the rim and attacking the boards, and he has only added more levels to his game by being able to step out more with his game. Prosper runs the floor well and stays engaged in a variety of ways, but again… he is one that could potentially develop more with his overall feel.
From what we saw in Raleigh and previously, Prosper can bring value and continue to grow into a solid prospect, which is why programs still looking should be eyeing his way.
