Coming off a season in which First Flight went 20-9, head coach Chad Williams was looking and needing players to step up with the losses of senior Dylan Blake and Jordan High who combined for nearly 40 points last season.

Early on, it seems that Isaac Dobie, a prospect part of the 2023 class, has stepped up big for them this season.  Averaging around nine points last season as a freshman, Dobie is now putting on a show and averaging nearly 24 points, six rebounds, two assists, and two steals per game for First Flight.

Phenom Hoops got a glimpse of him last season more against Page, where he showed his tremendous range much like others have at First Flight like Blake.  He is continuing that trend into this season, already having three games in which he has had double-digit attempts from behind the arc and has hit 26 threes' through seven games.

In speaking with Dobie about the biggest difference so far from last year to this season and what it has been like to replace such production from last year's team, he says it has come easier than expected so far.

'My confidence has been the biggest difference from my freshman to my sophomore season,' he said.  'This confidence growth has enabled me to play freely and has allowed me to focus on competing rather than focusing on not making a mistake.  It has been exciting to be able to fill some of those spots from last year and I enjoy being able to help my team in any way possible.  Surprisingly, it has been less stressful having the focus on me.'

Dobie though has given fans plenty to talk about with his style of play and how he has elevated his game, as he certainly should be one to start monitoring more down the road.
