Looking around the class of 2025 here in North Carolina, a player we recently had multiple viewings of for the season was Wesleyan Christian’s 2025 6’5 Zacch Wiggins. Certainly a familiar name we have watched over the years, but not only in a recent conference game and at our Carmel MLK Showcase in Charlotte, it is clear that this is a young man that has made steady progression in his game.
Wiggins is one that has put in the work and has the pedigree that you have to like for a Division 1 player. Good size and athleticism, makes smart decisions and plays at his pace, continues to show his capability to create for himself off the dribble and get to his spots, as well as finishing at the rim, and has continued to take steady improvements in his perimeter shooting as well. Wiggins really flourished as a creator, being physical in getting inside and making plays for himself but you can also see that he has really stepped up as a true leader for this team.
Right now, he holds offers from Hampton, George Mason, Maryland, East Carolina, and North Carolina A&T. But in speaking with him, he has also been receiving interest from NC State, Marquette, Charlotte, and Virginia.
What Was Said at Carmel MLK:
“Love when 6’5 Zacch Wiggins (Wesleyan) is engaged and playing with the confidence he is today! One of the top wings in the ’25 class. Scoring the ball from all 3 levels. Uses his length well defensively. Can play / guard multiple positions. #PhenomHoops #CarmelMLK”
“Really like what I’ve seen early on from 2025 Zacch Wiggins. Scoring strong off the dribble, finishing well but also showing that he can knock down open shots. Think he is a sneaky prospect in the Class of 2025 here in NC. #CarmelMLK #PhenomHoops”
“6’5 ’25 Zacch Wiggins (Wesleyan Christian) continues to show visible growth as a leader. Naturally looks to assert himself within the flow, but getting more comfortable at taking over and controlling the action. Displays a calm demeanor at all times #CarmelMLK #PhenomHoops”
